In the past, families had the option of hiring caregivers privately or working with an agency. Kindly combines the affordability of private care with the safety and convenience of the agency model.
We charge a service fee of 20%, which is added to the rate that you negotiate with the caregiver. For example, if you pay the caregiver $14/hr, your estimated cost is $18.48/hr (incl. our fee of $2.80/hr and tax).
Every Kindly caregiver has passed a background check, is insured, and has two client references. More importantly, we spend time with each caregiver and ensure that they are someone we would let into our own home.
Kindly sources and vets your caregivers, provides general and professional liability insurance, a mobile app for scheduling and task management, as well as a payroll and tax preparation service.
Our mobile app makes scheduling and management of caregivers a breeze. Just enter a time, select the tasks and you're done. At the end of the shift you get a work summary and an update on your loved one.
The IRS classifies privately hired caregivers as employees, who should have their taxes withheld. Kindly does this all for you, and we also provide you with signature-ready tax paperwork at the end of the year.
