Hi, I'm Alicia. I live in Clearlake, and I've been a CNA for about a year-and-a-half.
How did you get into caregiving?
I got into healthcare back in 2015 when my husband suddenly collapsed of a cardiac arrest. He is okay now, and I'm currently a CNA.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be that this job takes a lot of patience and compassion for others.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I would never forget is a lady I was taking care of in the hospital, and she was struggling really hard outside of the hospital. She didn't really want to leave because she didn't have food at home or any means, I guess, to survive outside of the hospital. So I had actually given her my phone number to contact me outside of work if she ever needed any help with food.
