Hi, my name is Andrea. I live in New Britain, CT and I've been a CNA for seven years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a CNA because of my grandma. Before she passed away, I was the one taking care of her. Since then, I've been a CNA. I like helping people.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, to do this job you have to love the things that you do. And I think you have to take care of your patients just like your family.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client that I will never forget is one of my patients that every time I used to take care of her, that person used to just look like she was just waiting for me. And she would always tell me that I'm like her daughter. It's just like I get attached with my patients. I treat them like family.
