Hi, my name is Anett. I have experience as a caregiver for more than 25 years and I live in Los Angeles, CA.

How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I am a nurse in South America. I am from Chile and I came to this country to accompany a lady because the airline will not let her come in without a nurse. I came here and been working as a caregiver more than 25 years. I have lived in the country for 27 years and I am now an American citizen.

What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be to take care of the patient as best as you can. I do the best for my patients because I know that, once my time comes, somebody will take care of me the best they can.

Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is a lady who has Alzheimer's. I worked for her all day and night, stayed with her. It was difficult for me to make her be happy and feel comfortable because she really had a serious disease.
