Hi, my name is Anna, and I live in East Palo Alto, and I'm a caregiver for 15 years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I love to work for others, or for the old people. And I want to take care of one's loved ones because when I was caring for my grandparents, I feel like that's my goal to be a caregiver, to take care of people's loved ones, and I am so happy to do this.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice for a new caregiver is to be patient, be on time, be a good and be honest.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The client I will never forget is named Faye, I call her Mrs. Faye. That's her first name, Faye. She's 99 years old. She live by herself. She's very independent. Sometimes she tells me to go outside and get the garbage. When I go outside, she lock the door. But I try to win her back. I'll was patient, and after a month of caring for her I became her best friend and she listened to me and we work together. And she's happy, her daughter was happy. That's my client I never forget.
