Hi, my name is April. I live in Woodland, CA and I have 19 years CNA experience and caregiving experience. I've been to nursing school, and pharmacy tech school.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I needed a job at the time. But then, I found out that's what I really wanted to do. I really liked it, and I grew to love it after a while. That's why I stayed doing it for so long.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, to always just do the right thing, what you know is right in your heart, and to work as a team, because a lot of caregivers don't work as a team, and it just doesn't work out that way.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Susan. She taught me a lot because she was really mean to me. And she was my first patient, so she just taught me patience because she was the most mean lady I've ever met in my life.
