Hi. I'm Ariana. I've been a caregiver for almost two years and I live in Long Beach, CA.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I've always been interested in the medical field. I'm also interested in going to school to become a registered nurse, so caregiving is a lot of experience. I've also took care of loved ones, a lot of elderly people and I feel like I have the patience for it.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver is to have the patience for elderly people. Be clean and make sure we wash our hands. Take care of the elderly and it's always whatever the client says. Have patience for them and learn how to be their friend as well.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Ms. Amber. She was a deaf client and we had very great conversation even though I didn't know how to do sign language. She taught me a lot and we would communicate by our hands. She was the most funniest client and I loved working with her but unfortunately, she passed away.
