Hi, my name is Arkan. I live in Santa Ana, CA and I have about four to five years of caregiver.
How did you get into caregiving?
I become a caregiver because of my mom. She was a handicap. She passed away, actually. She was a handicap. She was 81 years old, a cancer patient. And I'm still taking care of my aunt. She's with me. She's a handicap too. She's elderly of age. And I'll keep doing this over and over.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, you have to share love. Whoever you care for him, either a relative or client, you have to share love. Love is the most important thing for them. Besides that, you have to be so patient, and you have to be in a good mood all the time, and be a helper. And above all, you have to share most of the things especially love.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is not a client to me. Well, it was my mom. Just I was so happy to take care of her. I'm glad that I'm returning the service. I'm returning the favor that she took care of me all of her life, and I was kindly delighted when I do the same thing to her. So, I mean, it was actually an awesome experience that I will never forget.
