Hi, my name is Charity. I live in Anaheim, CA and I have worked for seven years as a caregiver.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because my son got sick. He needed care, and I cared for him until God called him to heaven. Thank you.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be to put yourself in the shoes of the client, to remind yourself that she's the one who needs care. To be compassionate, loving, patient, and do our best.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is a client who had brain surgery and cancer. I cared for her. She was so loving. She was like teaching me. I learned a lot from her, and she was really grateful for my care, and we got along really good. I will never forget. I loved hearing her appreciation when I told her I was the one was to give, I was the one learning from her.
