Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
Hi. My name is Cristy. I live in Milpitas, California. I'm a caregiver for seven years. Why I become a caregiver is my family, my husband and my two daughters. I love helping from other people, so I'm doing the right thing.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The client I'll never forget is Helen. She's nice. She's like a family member, and she trusts me always. I'm caring Helen for two years and a half, and I helping to going to church, going to her errands, take her bath, and her needs. What I admired about Helen is she's strong. She's loving, and especially she's fighting for her illness.
What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
My advice for the new caregiver is caring for their clients, be honest and focus on what to do in their job.
The proudest moment as a caregiver that's my services and hardworking.Tell us about your most challenging clients.
Most challenging with the clients is dementia and Alzheimer, because she's not eating her meals and she's not taking a bath, so I convince her in a nice way and slow voice.
