Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
Hi, my name is Don Cariaga. I live in Hayward city. I've been caregiver for 17 years. As a caregiver, coming from America was really an accidentle experience for me. While we Filipinos grow up,the backgrounds of old people is always number one for us. As times and years go by taking care of old people, I've begun to love taking care of them. Loyal, trustworthy, and we are respectful to them and give them all the remaining years of their life to be as good as what I feel.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The name is Phil, a geologist from Badlands, a very nice guy. A father, a friend, companion - well, I'm adopted son. Always tell him to me, "You're my adopted son." He passed away just last February, very wonderful man. Very wonderful man to me. He's my angel, and to him, I'm his angel. .
