Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
My name is Elisa and I live in Sunnyvale, California and I've been a caregiver for around 13 years. The reason why I became a caregiver is because I was raised in an orphanage and they have little girls and a big girls group I was always wanted to be a big girl to take care of the little girls. So, I've done all kinds of jobs from clerical typist to restaurants but this is my calling. I really enjoy taking care of other people no matter the age and I love my grandkids.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client that stands out in my memory I've been with for almost two, three years. He recently passed away and I will never forget he was always a positive thinker and just always found something good in a person. We will go look for whatever you want to look for but then at the end, I would try to change the subject and sing a song or give them some ice cream And they're always perfectly happy as long as I try to help them what's going on in their mind at the momen

I have a sister in Oregon that's a caregiver, I have a sister in Turlock that works with special needs children, and I have a sister in North Dakota who also works with special needs children. I just enjoy taking care of the elderly, I treat them the way I would like to be treated with love, kindness, respect, and all the above. I have a great sense of humor and just that's me
