Where do you live, and how long you have been a caregiver?
Hi, my name is Fe Bautista. I've lived in San Francisco for two years now, and I've been a caregiver for 12 years.
What do you think is important quality to have as a caregiver?
I think the number one trait of a good caregiver is patience. As a caregiver, we know that our clients are sick. I know that being sick, you are not in good condition. That's why ever since I go to this kind of job, I put it in my mind that I should have a lot of patience.
How would you describe yourself as a caregiver?
My clients tell me that I'm a good caregiver because of my bonding with them. I treat them as I would my family, like my parents. They told me that I'm more than that, like I'm their family. Whenever I talk to a client, the only thing that I'm bringing to them or offering them is my patience and my trust. I'm a trustworthy person.
