Who inspired you to become a caregiver?
I became a caregiver when my sister was born, until she was five years old. After that, I became a professional caregiver for toddlers and babies. I've been doing that for four years, and I've also been taking care of my grandparents for the past eight years.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
I provided home care for my grandparents and would remind them to take their medicine, help them get up from bed, toileting, walking, cleaning, and anything they needed help with.
What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
If I could give one piece of advice to a new caregiver, it would be to excercise patience, because sometimes they can be forgetful. You have to have a lot of patience!
What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
What makes me proud to be a caregiver is when I see a smile on their face, and when they are thanking me for my services. I really appreciate them being grateful for me and what I do!
