Hi, my name is Ferdinand. I live in Gardena, CA and I have four years of caregiving experience.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I have a degree in nursing. I haven't practiced yet and I haven't gotten my license so working as a caregiver now.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be that he should have the patience and the heart because this is a vocation that is a mission to serve other people.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Albert. He was expected to live in six months under the hospice care. When I came to his care, I didn't realize that I was taking care of him in hospice for three years already, so I was surprised that I was still helping in caring for him, making him walk, exercise, bathe for himself during that time. So I'm so proud of myself then.
