Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
My name is Ferewoini, you can call me Winnie. I'm living in Somerset, California. I've been working for 15 years as a caregiver and then in healthcare almost 12 years. The person who inspired me to be a caregiver? I met a woman in the park in North with a special needs child. And the woman, I saw her effort, how she's working 24 and 7 days with her child.

Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The time I'll never forget is watching an Alzheimer and Parkinson's event. Still, she's not alive but still I have good contact with the family-- still friendshiped, and almost pretty much like a family there. I'll admit the most about the client is she's capable. She likes to work through the way she was young or ever, but she cannot and she's trying, and then that's make me really inspire me, how she's want independence to do things like taking her medication, going out, sometimes even she fit to go driving her car.

What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
You need to have passion, patience, special needs, it gives them time because this person will be not that very independent now it comes to what to do. They might be frustrating, but try to understand and don't take it personally. Once you get off from that job, just do what you like. I was recommending it to get some exercise, yoga class, just do something that's not related towards that job.

What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
My proudest moment as a caregiver is it's give me a room which to grow and in the medical field it's time for growth. I don't want to be like the rest of my life the same, but still there's a window to grow for me and then that's like a basic form as a caregiver job is really busy fundamentally
