Hi, my name is Flowrence. I live in Salt Lake City, UT. I have seven years of experience as a caregiver.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I love people. I love the elderly. I just want to give them love. Because I grew up with my grandparents, I love them. That's why I became a caregiver. I want to give the same thing I'm giving to my parents, to my grandparents, and to them too.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be love them, take care and be close to them all the time.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget his name is John. I've been working with him for almost five years. When I started working with him, he told me, "Hey, I don't want to see you over here. I don't want you." I told him, "No. It's okay. It's a job. I'm just coming to help you out." And since then, he became close to me and started talking to me. I gave him some advice, and he was really happy with me.
