Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
Hi, I'm Ginger. I live in Santa Rosa, California, and I have two years experience. What inspired me to be a caregiver was I like helping the senior crowd, and I had a mother-in-law who went into a home. I like being around them, I like helping them, and making them happy.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
My most memorable client was a lady who I enjoyed very much. She was very nice. Her conversations were really good. I enjoyed walking her down the hall and visiting her friends, and she'd point out different things, what's on their door. She was fun. She was very fun to be around.
What are your strengths as a caregiver?
What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
I'm nice, friendly, nice to be around. I'm a great listener. I enjoy being around people who are nice.
My proudest moment of being a caregiver is my mother-in-law. I helped her get around town, go shopping. I would take her to the park, and take her for a walk, and watch the ducks, feed them. She really enjoyed that. Being around her grandkids, that was a very enjoyable part of her life. I felt good taking care of her.
