Hi. My name is Harold. I live in Concord, CA and my experience is five years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because my parents are getting old now, and I want to take care of them in the future. Also, I love elders. I worked in Alzheimer-dementia facility for five years, and I really do love to take care of them.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver is to be patient, responsible, and comfortable with what are you doing. Also, you need to be happy. You need to interact with your patients or elders and give them love - not just for work, but fully love them.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I never forget was a woman. She was blind, and I always took care of her, and she always asked for my help even though there was another caregiver. She always remembered my name, and she always appreciated what I was doing for her.
