Hi, my name is Irene and I live and work in Woodland, CA and I have over 10 years experience.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver since I was 12 years old. I'm now 54. I always seem to want to help the older generation, so I've always been a caring individual. And I have been around that atmosphere for a long time, and I enjoy it.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be to have patience, and to enjoy your conversations, and just be very caring and loving to your client.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget, well, I have a few clients, but a client that I will never forget is just a loving and caring individual that just shared the same bond that I share with them. They're just so excited to have me arrive. And I'm excited when I knock on the door, and I start my day with my client. It's very touching. It's very caring. I just feel like they're my parent, I just go about the day as if they're my parent, and I'm there for them.
