Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
My name is Josephina. I live in Santa Clara, California, and I've been a caregiver for 12 years. Well, I became a caregiver. Since I was a kid, I really, really wanted to be a nurse. And that didn't happen, but now, I have a chance to take care of patients, which I really like taking care of people. So now, I'm a caregiver.
What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
What are your strengths as a caregiver?
What is important to me to be a good caregiver is to have a lot of patience and to be sensitive with my clients' needs.
What makes me special as a caregiver? Maybe because I am sensitive to their needs. I pay attention to what they want, and I always make sure that they are safe under my care.
