Hello, my name is Katrina. I've been a caregiver for 24 years. I live in Gardena, CA.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver when I lost my license as a CNA nurse. I used to have my license as a CNA and then I let them go and then I became a caregiver and I love taking care of the elderly. That's my passion, taking care of somebody else's loved one, elderly and I also used to take care of my loved one.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice would be for a new caregiver, make sure you have the patience and the heart to take care of the elderly. If you don't have the patience and the heart, this will not be the field for you.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The client that I will never forget was Raymond. I will always remember him. He was a joker, very attentive in story. We used to go to make McDonald's to eat lunch every day and I enjoyed being with him.
