Hi, my name is Kerman and I have 12 years of experience and I live in Homestead, FL.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because at an early 18, I was taking care of several family members. One which was my grandmother and a couple of uncles and that's what inspired me to become a caregiver.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, never stop learning. It's always a learning experience when you're taking care of someone else, a family member outside of the family. You just got to be compassionate and patient. That's what I would tell a caregiver.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget was my grandmother. I had the chance of spending her last hours with her and I was strong, but I learned a lot and I appreciated the time being with her. I was always worried about when she passed without me being able to spend her last hours and last days, but I really appreciated it and definitely the most memorable experience I had working as a caregiver.
