Hi. My name is Keyonna. I'm currently located in the city of Victorville, CA. I've been a caregiver for 10 years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I did a lot of volunteer work with my mother. She was an RN. I came to grow and learn to love to work with elderly people, and it's just a passion of mine now that I love to do.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be always be patient, always listen, observe, always take time out to spend time with your patient, and learn that person. It will help you and your business, it will help you as a person, and it will help you maintain to be a good caregiver.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A patient I will always remember is Lauren. She was a sweet, kind lady, loved to tell jokes, always kept a smile on her face, always tell stories, always respected somebody, always respected her caregivers, always gave that person a chance to help her out. No matter how hard her day was going or how bad her day was, she always was a sweet lady at all times.
