Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget, her name is Margie. And every night when I put her to bed, she would always say, "I love you," but I wouldn't think she would remember me every single night. She always comes to me and says, "Hey, how are you?" and, "Can I have a cookie?"
What are you strengths as a caregiver?
People tell me I'm a great caregiver because I get to build a very strong relationship with all the clients that I've met so far, and with new ones. I get to know their history, their background, what they dealt with all these years, and they get to know me.
Are there any caregiving tips you can share?
One piece of advice for a new caregiver is to be very comfortable and always act like you've known your client for years. Because they won't be comfortable, and they will give you a hard time if you're not comfortable with them.
