Hi. My name is Leah, and I live in Hayward, and I've been a caregiver for three years.

How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver since I came here from the Philippines, and I took care of my grandmother, and I worked as a nursing assistant in the Philippines for more than ten years. That's why I love taking are of elderly people and I just love being with them.

What advice would you give a new caregiver?
My advice for a new caregiver would be just be patient, and learn how to appreciate every single second that you do with your patient, and be responsible in every thing that you do. Be loving, caring, and be you.

Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The client that I won't forget is Jean. She is a retired military nurse before, and the things that she wants was organized,. So you should do it for her step by step, and at first I'm kind of hesistant. Every day that I'm with her I became more comfortable and learn so many things from her. And she's really a nice woman.
