Hi. My name is Lee and I live in Yuba City, CA. And I've been a caregiver for 5 years.
How did you ge
I became a caregiver because of my grandmother, who had cancer. And I have always enjoyed helping other people by providing them in whatever ways that will help them better their life. And I love seeing people smile because it simply makes me happy, and I feel like I'm doing something right in my life.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, is to be compassionate towards the elderly, and to others, and to have patience. Also, to be a dependable worker because someone is counting on you. They are depending on you. They are waiting for you. And also to enjoy the work and have fun at the same time, but be responsible too.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client that I will never forget is Honey. She is such a sweet old lady. There was so much positive vibe with her. She would always smile, she always finds something to smile about. Seeing her happy makes me happy. Honey was such a sweet lady and she would always tell me, "I love you." And I would tell her, "I love you too, Grandma." She's such a sweet lady.
