Hi, my name is Christina. I've been a caregiver for 4 years, and I live in Daly City, CA.
How did you get into caregiving?
When I was still a child, my grannies took care of us, and so when they were old, I took care of them. And then when I went to the United States, that's my first job until I became four years in my work, so I became used to it.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver is when you take care of elder people, you need to be passionate on what you do because if not, if you don't like your job, better yet, don't do it.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client that I would never forget is the client that I had before. He has this tube on his stomach. So he's just like my age, so we have to take care of him carefully because he was fed through a GT on his stomach. So like what I said earlier, you have to be careful in everything you do because every life of a person lies to you.
