How did you get into caregiving?
I become a caregiver because I love elderly, and I feel like those are my grandparents.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
I have a client, that her name is Rose, she was pulled in the bus and then I had to pick her up in the hospital and then bring to her home, and then I give her exercise. Six months after, she walk again. Then we took a taxi and then we go outside downtown San Francisco to go to the Italian restaurant.
What makes you proud to be a caregiver?
I'm very proud to be a caregiver because one day when I'm getting old, if what I've done to them, it comes back to me. That's why I have to be very nice to them because when I'm getting old, then somebody will be very nice to me too. So, it comes around. That's why I love taking care elderly.
Are there any caregiving tips you can share?
My suggestion to the caregiver, I think we need to have attention and watch all the time, during when they're feeding. Always watch because-- then avoid to choke. Number two, cell phones are not allowed during work. And then always keep beautiful. Comb their hair and then change clothes, and then always change diaper, because to avoid of red skin. You know, especially the butt. Then as soon as you can, try to give them shower, refresh. Maybe three times a week or two times a week. That is normal for elder people.
