How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I'm a caring person, loving, and very patient to the elderly.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
As a caregiver, the first person that came into my mind is Ann. She's blind and needs fully assisted bathroom and bedside care, medication, and everything.
What have you learned from caregiving?
What I learned most when caring for Ann is she's really a fully assisted person. You have to bring her to the dining hall. And the food, I have to assist everything. And when-- sits on the wheelchair and doing the bathroom and everything. Change the diapers and placing her into her bed.
What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
One piece of advice I would give to a caregiver is to be understanding and loving. Because elderlys are really irritable and they have different attitudes. So you have to understand their situation.
What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
My proudest moment as a caregiver is that I was able to take care of 18 clients in an assisted living alone during the shift. Giving them bath, transferring from their bath to wheelchair, and bringing them to the dining table.
