Hi, my name is Marlene. I live in Lancaster, CA and I have experience of about five years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I had an experience when I was 10 years old. My great-grandma had a stroke, and she was paralyzed. So at that point, I was helping her back then. And through the years, I realized that it's what I would like to do, help elderly people who are not able to do things on their own.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, help the people with all heart. Whatever you do, do it with all your heart. It will give you reward in your heart.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I would never forget is Miss Misha. A very sweet lady. She appreciated my work, and especially she loved my cooking. I love cooking for her, meals for lunch and dinner every day, and she was always a very sweet lady who appreciated my work.
