My name's Martha. I live in Pinole, CA and I have three years experience working as a caregiver.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I like to help older people with their needs. I have a lot of patience, compassion. I try to do my best all the time, and I put my heart, my soul when I help people.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to the new caregiver is to have a lot responsibility, patience, compassion, put your heart and your soul when you help older people.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
My client I never forgot is Mr. Paul. I took care of him for six months when he was in hospice. When I came to help him, he was very happy. That's what his wife said. She told me he could not talk no more, but he was blinking his eyes, and then he tried to say thank you to me for all the care and love I gave him.
