Hi, my name is Mary, and I have 11 years of caregiving experience. And I have worked in the Danville, Dublin, San Francisco, Oakland Hills area.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I was giving care to my mother who had colon cancer. After that, it really became a passion for me. I believe in human kindness, respect toward all human beings but especially for seniors.
What advice would you give to new caregivers?
My advice for a new caregiver would be to always listen and always be patient.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
I will never, ever forget Don. He was a wonderful person, very demanding, was really used to the good things in life. Loved gourmet cooking, loved going out, loved being very intricate, and he was an eclectic man and so was his family. He had just passed away. Just everything about him was just a cherished memory, a very cherished memory. I was treated very well, and his family's still in contact with me. It was a very well-known family, and just-- I really got used to working in the Blackhawk area after that
