Hi, my name is Michel. I live in Woodland Hills, CA. I have 15 years of experience as a caregiver, CNA and CHA.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I'm very compassionate, I love to help and support people. Also to care for other people who really need our help and love. That's the reason why I became caregiver, to give a little bit of my compassion, love and care for another one.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice for another caregiver is to be compassionate, loving, and caring for another one because when we are in charge to take care of someone, that's what these people are expecting sometimes from us. Most of them come because they don't have family, just them, that's why they are lonely and they need the care and the love from us. That's my advice to a caregiver, to be compassionate, loving and caring for others.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The person who I remember is Rolan. She's 93 years old, nice person and tall. She's a very good example, very strong woman, really caring and loving lady. This is the person who's come into my mind always.
