Hi, my name is Nancy. I live in Salinas, CA and I have 10 years of experience.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I got to take care of a loved one, which was my grandfather before he passed of pancreatic cancer, and that inspired me to want to take care of other people and help them out.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, to be compassionate, patient, friendly, open-minded, loving, caring, honest, and funny.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Mr. Mike. He was one of my best clients. One of the clients that you love and enjoy being around. He always had jokes. He was very funny, had a good sense of humor. You would just love to spend time with him. He had all these stories that were so interesting and you would just enjoy to hear them. You would have a good time with him. He was one of the happiest persons I've ever met and I will always remember him for that.
