Hi. My name is Pamela. I live in Fairfield, CA and I've been a caregiver over 13 years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I was caring for my loved ones, and then I had to care for my mother, and I cared for a lot of other people. I'm a caring and loving, kind person, and I want to give back in a way.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a fellow caregiver is be loving, caring, genuine, and treat them as though they were your loved ones, and treat someone the way that you would want to be treated when you're their age and need to be cared for.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget would be my mother, Elouise. Our most fun, we went shopping a lot. We had a lot of laughs, a lot of good times, the doctor appointments, chemotherapy. She taught me the value of how to care and love for people. She taught me how to just be me and how to just love, unconditionally.
