Hi, my name is Regina. I live in Mesa, AZ. I've been a caregiver for five years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I was living in a country where caregivers are scarce, and one of my neighbors became sick, and she didn't have anyone to take care of her, so I offered to do it. And since that time, I developed that desire to care for other people.
What advice would you give to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, the first thing is you love what you do. That way, you'll be able to do it [effortlessly?]. And you should be patient because in some cases, you meet mostly with people who are frustrated, and you should be patient with them.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is one client that I took care of. She was able to recover and go back to her normal routine in life. I was very happy to see her back and well.
