Hi, my name is Rovina and I live in Long Beach, CA. I've been into caregiving for two years now.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because of my parents who I took care of when I was still in the Philippines, and they inspired me to continue taking care of old people when I came here in the US. I work with heart, and the same love and care that I gave to my parents.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be always work with love. Put your heart in your work. Give respect to your patient. And also be patient to every case that you will encounter, but most of all give a true love and care, and always include your patients in your prayers.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client that I will never forget is Dr. Bill. He was so sweet and so nice, and one thing that I won't forget about him was when I had a stomach pain, he was so worried and that even though he was in bed, he tried his best to help me out, asked me where the pain is coming and and how painful it is. He was thinking of treating me because he's a doctor.
