My name is Sarah. I've been a caregiver since I was 20 years old. I have 7 years of experience. I live in Pacoima, CA.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver for my mother's sister-in-law, she's fighting Dementia and Alzheimer's. And my cousin has ATC, fighting for special needs as well.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver or a new CNA student would be is when the patient is feeling dizzy out of it's bed, is to check blood pressure first.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The client that I will never forget is one who was fighting Alzheimer's and Dementia, and showed me a lot of things. She was my first experience. Right now, she's a piece of my heart. She's in heaven. She showed me how to do everything and most likely all the experience I know, I learned from her.
