Hi, my name is Serina. I'm from Visalia, CA and I've been a certified nurse assistant for 2 and a half years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I've always been interested in the medical field. My future goal is to become an RN and hopefully be able to work at children's hospital.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice for a new caregiver would be to learn your patient. Be patient with them. Be compassionate and just learn their personalities and soon you will know which patient likes what or needs what, and just do the best that you can do.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
My client that I actually have now is named Hope. I've taken care of her for the time that I've been a CNA. I've worked with her Redwood Springs. She's a wonderful lady. She has dementia, but she recognizes me anytime I come in, and I just love her personality. She is so sweet.
