Hi, my name is STP Journey and I've been working two years as a caregiver in California and eight years as a registered nurse in the Phillippines and I'm living in Seal Beach, CA.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because I was working as a registered nurse in the Philippines and before I started to become a registered nurse, I was taking care of my grandmother who was at that time in hospice and that prompted me to work in healthcare.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, always be patient, be kind, and do your job professionally. And you should always do it with knowledge and proper attitude.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Roberta, because when I came here in the US, she was my first patient. And she was very kind, very accommodating, and she accepted me as part of the family. And we shared a lot of things, both her stories, my experiences, and I will never forget her.
