Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you got into caregiving?
My name is Terese Taralone. I live in Daly City. I've been a caregiver for 12 years. I'm interested to be a caregiver because I want to help the old people in their daily living.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
The first person that come into my mind as a caregiver is the one client who had Parkinson's. She was just trembling and trembling, so I help her. I fed her, and then she was really okay. She's very happy to see me because I'm the one who take care of her - the first one
What piece of advice would you give to a new caregiver?
What is your proudest moment as a caregiver?
One piece of advice to my co-caregivers are to be very patient to our clients, and you must always give a helping hand, please every one of the clients that we are working with.
My proudest moment being a caregiver is I have a client that -- she refuse to eat and then she refuse also her medications. And the last moment that I am here taking care of her - she likes and takes the medications.
