Hi, my name is Tiffany. I live in the city of Chicago, IL. I've been a caregiver/CNA for about nine years.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a CNA/caregiver because of my grandmother, who is now deceased from Alzheimer's. I actually started working as a receptionist in a nursing home, so I decided to go to school for a nursing assistant to get my certificate because I love to take care of people, especially the elderly.
What advice would you provide to a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be, you have to have a lot of patience. And you also have to like what you do. If you like caring for people then you are in the right field.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget her name was Jane. Jane was very nice person that needed a lot of assistance.
