Hi. My name is Virginia. I have 15 years experience in care giving. I live in Englewood, California.
How did you get into caregiving?
I became a caregiver because my mom was ill with congestive heart failure. I were the eldest of my sisters, and I cared for a loved one. I always wanted to get my CNA license, and I did go for the board and received my CNA license. I enjoy helping others and comforting the seniors.
What advice would you give a new caregiver?
My advice to a new caregiver would be to comfort the patient at all times and never leave the patient.
Who is one of your most memorable clients?
A client I will never forget is Miss Theresa. Miss Theresa had no family. I was her only family, and when she went into the hospital, I was not being compensated for her, and I still took care of her for four months. She used to make me coffee, but then got very ill, so I started to make coffee for her, and then she was hospitalized and went home with the Lord
