Our Caregivers

Who Are Kindly Care’s Caregivers?
Most of our caregivers are the same individuals who also work at traditional home care agencies. In the in-home eldercare industry, it’s common for caregivers to work for several home care agencies at any given time in order to fill up their weekly quotas.
Most caregivers however prefer to have private clients (if only because of the higher pay rate they negotiate), thus enabling us to attract a large number of experienced and well-trained caregivers looking for steady work.
With a network of thousands of vetted caregivers, you can be assured that we can provide you with a number of candidates to choose from within a matter of hours after you brief us.
Our caregivers are:
• Meticulously vetted, background-checked, insured, and bonded
• Available for long-term assignments as well as last minute emergency shifts
• Available for your initial review online, each caregiver telling her own story on video
• Available for you to interview them in person or by phone

What Kind of Qualifications Do Your Caregivers Have?
Just like with most traditional home care agencies, our network of caregivers includes CNAs, LVNs, HHAs, as well as caregivers with many years of experience but no certifications. If you require your caregiver to have a specific certification, just let us know and we’ll make sure to arrange that.

How Do You Vet Caregivers?
Our caregivers go through a multi-step vetting process that begins with initial screening and interviewing by highly trained members of our staff. We then proceed to do thorough federal, state and local background checks, as well as driver’s license checks. Our caregivers finally record and publish an introductory video in which they describe their experience, motivations for pursuing this career, as well as their unique personality traits.

What is Included in their Background Checks?
Our vetting includes:
• County Criminal Search (last 7 years)
• Motor Vehicle Report
• National Criminal Search
• Sex Offender Search
• SSN Trace
• Global Watchlist Search

Are Your Caregivers Insured and Bonded?
We have an umbrella insurance policy that covers all caregivers who pass our vetting process. The coverage includes a $2 million General Liability insurance policy and a $100,000 fidelity or dishonesty bond through Lloyd’s of London (world’s largest insurance carrier).

Are Your California Caregivers Registered with the State?
Kindly Care does not fall under the Home Care Organization classification in California, and as such our caregivers are not required to register in the state’s Home Care Aide Registry. Many of them are registered, however, as explained below.
Caregivers who are hired by agencies are classified as “Affiliated Home Care Aides” and need to be listed on the Registry; caregivers who work with clients directly are classified as “Independent Home Care Aides,” and they do not have to be listed. Since many of our caregivers work with private clients as well as with agencies, they carry both classifications and meet the same requirements as caregivers who work exclusively with agencies.

Am I Able to Interview Candidates in Person?
Yes, all caregivers are available for in-person interviews, and you can review the thousands of videos on our website prior to inviting anyone to your home. Most families take advantage of our free concierge service and ask us to provide them with a list of top 5 candidates who are most suitable for the needed care and the personality of the care recipient. You can interview as many candidates as you’d like, and no payment is required until you start working with your caregiver.
